22:34 06 June, 2006 06062006033-001 What's a mall without a slalom slope? I guess the answer is: "too ordinary". They really take the "my mall is bigger than your mall" game seriously in Dubai. The emirates mall is the biggest and you can ski or snowboard in it. It´s not a petty bump either - there are ski lifts on smaller natural hills in Southern Finland.
Question: what's this?

13:31 06 June, 2006 06062006023 On a highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, luckily in an air-conditioned limo. Outside temp meter climbed to 45 centigrades, which, combined with the humidity is absolute killer. Like dropping into a hot tub with clothes on. We´ve been here for a vacation on November and it was hot then. This time of year it´s unbearable.

07:16 06 June, 2006 06062006021 Where ever you look in the gulf region, this is what you see: high risers going up up up. Some locals in Qatar told me these only last ten years in the salty heavy air. It was 33 degrees Celcius when my plane touched down at 7 am - forecast is 48 for the day. Hot!
